美英，一个在台北长大，性格外向坚强，为了照顾失智的妈妈只好在晚上当视讯主播，出门到哪里都得带着妈妈，连跟男朋友约会也要带着... 就怕她惹事。 有一天美英忘了锁门，妈妈就失踪了。 美英急得团团转，四处寻找妈妈，就在她觉得没希望的时候，接到了一通从绿岛打来的电话... 一个从小在绿岛长大的25岁纯朴男孩的阿灿，是他跟美英说她的妈妈在绿岛。 阿灿是家族第三代绿岛灯塔看守人，五年前轮到阿灿接手。 灯塔，就像是阿灿的传承百年的家族企业。 所以，阿灿从来没有离开过绿岛。 可是，阿灿丝毫不觉这样的生活无聊，即使每天面对同一面海洋，但对他来说每一天都是不一样的。 美英很快地赶来了绿岛，初次踏上这个岛屿的她，让阿灿的生活因此起了翻天覆地的变化！
